As Rain says it beautifully: modern apocalyptic techno not for the faint of heart.

Rain (Aleksandr) is a veteran in the scene, began playing techno in the late nineties. From this passion promo group Art Of Music was launched in Saint-Petersburg together with Krankiss: organising various hard techno parties was a success.

Later the birth of several other electronic live projects followed, such as Mental Distortion and Kamennoe More. 2012 had him leave Russia for Assia, where he currently resides in Vietnam.

The modern apocalyptic approach previously mentioned you find in the atmosphere and sub styles within the techno in his track selection. Often from offbeat to breakbeat, accompanied by steel clashes and robotic power thrusts.

Owner and founder of Tholos Records, co-founder of Divine Intervention Records and resident artist at Expel Your Demons. If you have been putting some work in researching contemporary techno’s up-and-coming artists, then these names do not sound strange to you.

Johnny Piras’ newest album is coming up, and he put most of these tracks into this 1-hour mix. Expect Johnny Piras style; bold and distortion, but groove in all the right amounts.

Mark’s love for heavy drums started as a child and he has never lost it. Having trained under Will Kinsella (Hybrasil), an electronic music producer and sound engineer based in Ireland, Mark began signing tracks early to various labels across Europe on well-established labels like Bush Records, Naked Lunch, Elektrax and Carl Cox’ longstanding imprint Intec Digital.

His sound was not always as explosive as his latest releases on his own label Dorcha may reveal. As the years have gone by his productions have gained some bpm and Mark’s music is now finding its way into the hands of DJs at the forefront of the industrial techno scene. Rebekah, I Hate Models, Theo Nasa, Chris Liebing, D.A.V.E. The Drummer, Amelie Lens and more are supporting his productions of late, particularly his original tracks on his newly established DORCHA Records – meaning ‘dark’ in the Irish language.

The increasing European summer heat is not going to prevent Ireland’s finest Mark Greene from 90 minutes of rolling, bending and thumping techno horsepower.

Række (aka Zalem), is not your typical upcoming producer. The name carries some weight by running Imminent Records in sunny Porto, Portugal. Doing these types of things require quite the creative brain. This doesn’t come as a surprise, as he was running multiple techno parties in his homeland Argentina before.

Række his style can be characterized as fast-paced with a hard punch. Similar to the speed of the old school techno, but in a new jacket. The same sound can be found as a red thread running through the discography of Imminent Records.

In this mix you find a lot of unreleased tracks from his label, among other many other explosive tracks.

Germany has long been a good bet for a thundering club night. The local DJs and producers here have adapted their sound to work particularly well in these damp and dark spaces.

Producer and DJ duo Disruption from Stuttgart are upcoming and have only just touched the surface, but their sound already reaches wide across the globe with features of size.

In the next hour you’ll be hearing the plenty of fine groove tricks and peak-time hammers.

Knowing nowadays’ French and Italy techno scene, you can’t go wrong with having been impacted by these techno powerhouses of countries. Ømen lives in London, but has roots in both France and Italy, is co-founder and resident at the London-based techno night and label MASS.

Having followed his sound for some time, Ømen’s sound is very similar to what can be heard in the folders of Märked discography. Raw and aggressive undertones with contrasting melodies and a touch of melancholy, oftentimes with hard kicks and driving basslines.

In these 60 minutes, he explores the fast lane starting at 152 BPM, working through different layers of acid, dreamy trips and groovy club graters. Play this set at the later after hours or in the gym to get up to speed.

The urge to go clubbing is getting nasty here in Holland. That´s what I´m thinking when I´m listening to this mix. Because SZG hits the BPM just right readying for an intense vacuum hotspot on the dance floor.

You might know SZG from his well-received Afternoon Before Storm EP with Illiya Korniyenko and Arman John. We are biased, but it’s a good source for emotional techno with a big punch.

753 was formed in Barcelona, the place where they carry out their passion as techno producers and audiovisual artists. Yet, what you don’t see often is that 753 rather is a team formed by the two producers that you see in the picture, alongside a design team and management team.

Where the name 753 comes from is no secret; it was an 11th-century samurai code of honor that inspired an entire nation to fight for its ideals. It is said the code lives on in this world of constant change, through discipline, honor, and loyalty.

753 are also no stranger to Märked, because previously – together with Vendex – they teamed up for Vendex & 753 – BDSM in Surge Of Power III Album. Now, in these 60 minutes 753 do what they do best; showcasing the gritty grooves and the up-tempo.

GFX, a perfectly fine guy who was born in Spain. Currently, he lives in London, or in Geneva, or both at the same time? While that’s physically not possible, his music does cross borders. His passion has made him land releases on labels such as MHz in Korea and MOTZ in Berlin to Insane Industry in Italy.

He goes by the name of Alejandro (20), who fell in love with techno in 2012. With this genre, he travels and escapes from reality, freeing himself from the ordinary routine.

Now referring to the mix, it was a while ago that I heard a mix that reminded me very close to what a fired-up club night sounds like at 5 am in the morning. Indispensable and high-paced tracks, continuously pumping out the goods of the rhythm, woven together with compelling mixing techniques. Yes, it’s a must-check!

Unlike some artists who sat on their tracks in COVID-times, ANDROM had been making some waves in the past year. You may know ANDROM from his My Distorted Fantasy EP a few months back, together with Ayarcana, Plukkk and Kaylah.

ANDROM’s musical presence online started when he featured on Otomo, Obscuur’s sister label. A memorable EP on Kracht’s label Krachtvoer followed shortly, whereafter we introduced his Märked EP. Not so quiet in the last half-year, ultimately forming the shape and identity of his sound.

You hear ANDROM’s music has influences of heavy metal, oftentimes co-shaped by electric guitars. Similar types of techno from the likes of Ghost In The Machine and Manni Dee have recognized and supported his tracks.
